About League
The PUBG Mobile Adwa League is a PUBG Mobile league hosted by the Techfest Expo and Adwa Gaming. The league will be run by Adwa Gaming and it will be fully online.
How to join
- Please note that this league is only open to players who are currently located in South Africa.
- Participant must create an Adwa Gaming account.
- In order to register, you will have to link your PUBG Mobile Player ID on to your profile, you can do this by heading to your Edit Profile page.
- Register for the League before the Sign Up Deadline (15 April 2020 23:59).
- Matches will be generated once registrations have been closed.
Event Details
- The event will be managed and hosted online via the ADWA Gaming website.
- There is no entry fee, but participants must first register with ADWA Gaming to sign up.
- The league matches will be played on Mobile devices.
- After registrations have been closed, you will be contacted via email with more info on match participation details.
- Match dates will also be released and emailed to participants once registrations have been closed.
Rules
1. Game Format
1.1. Player Eligibility
All players participating in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (henceforth PUBG) competitions must enter their PUBG game ID. The gameaccount is needed to invite players into a custom match and to check if the correct player is playing. In order to participate in cups & ladders by ADWA Gaming, you must meet the following requirements:
You must be a registered player on the ADWA Gaming website. You must be 16 years old or older. You must have an active PUBG account in good standing and link it to your profile.
If you do not meet these requirements, you will be deemed ineligible. Sign-ups will be closed for all cups 30 minutes before they start. If player has not signed up before this time you will be unable to participate. Player will also be required to check-in to the cup itself starting 30 minutes before the cup.
1.2. Team and Player names
ADWA Gaming reserves the right to edit Nicknames and/or URL aliases. Team or player names that are too similar to that of another team or player are subject to be changed by ADWA Gaming.
“Nicknames, Team Names and URL Aliases.” If a team name has been wrongly seized, please file a support ticket with proof of ownership of the name.
Only registered team members are allowed to play for a team. Playing in any matches with a ringer is prohibited. Players and teams must compete under their officially registered PUBG team names and Nicknames during all official matches.
1.3. Game Version
All players must install the newest version of the game in order to participate in ADWA Gaming cups. Updates must be installed before the cup starts, so delays will be at a minimum.
1.4. Technical Issues
Players are responsible for their own technical issues (hardware/internet). Matches will not be rescheduled because of technical issues and matches will be played nevertheless. If the warm-up time in the starting area is exceeded the game goes on, even if the issue is not solved yet. In case of massive problems influencing a significant amount of players, a replay of the map may be called via the cup's support channels on Discord.
1.5. Participation
Slots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning from the check-in process start 30 minutes before the start of the cup.
Each lobby will consist of 64 players (or less during first round if the sign-up limit is not reached). There will be 4 lobbies during the first round and 1 lobby during the second round.
1.6. Disqualification
To keep cups as efficient as possible, ADWA Gaming reserves the right to disqualify players. This will only be done in cases where a player purposefully stalls or attempts to block the cup from starting.
Usage of Reshade, SweetFX, VibranceGUI, and other 3rd party programs that enhance, add, modify, or remove game appearance, color, or files, is strictly prohibited during this event.
Intentionally changing your character's angle to look through a texture or object is prohibited. You are not allowed to set two actions to the same key in key bindings.
The intentional use of any bugs, glitches, or errors in the game is strictly forbidden and will be penalized. Any team found to be using any known exploit will forfeit their game upon the first occurrence of the exploit. If the team is found to use another known exploit for a second time and it is determined to have been done on purpose they will be removed from the cup and barred from any future cups.
2. PUBG Cup Rules
2.1. PUBG Tournament Format
2.1.1. Custom Match Settings
Every Match will use Esports Mode with the following Match Settings. Please note that Esports Mode disables Flare Gun Packages and Clothing spawns. All settings shall remain default unless explicitly stated below. ADWA Gaming Administration reserves the right to make changes to Custom Match Settings for any reason at any time. ADWA Gaming Administration may make temporary adjustments to Custom Match Settings in order to help mitigate the impact of any in-game bug.
2.2. Map Pick
All games are to be played on the Erangel map setting. Players do not pick or ban maps or weather types.

3. Regions
ADWA Gaming currently hosts cups in Africa. All players have to be from the region they're participating in.
4. Details
4.1. Game preparations
Please resolve any problems that might occur before a match starts. Connection or hardware problems during a match could lead to a disqualification by ADWA Gaming admins. Make sure all players are eligible to play.
4.2. No show
If a participant cannot play at the scheduled start time, we will remove the team from participating in the tournament.
4.3. Forfeit
Participants can choose to forfeit a match if they wish. Forfeiting will result in 0 points from that match and possible penalty points.
4.4. Tiebreaker
In the event that two or more players have the same number of Total Points, the following rules shall be applied to break the tie.
- Compare every tied players total Kill Points across all Matches
- Compare every tied players best performing Match based on Match Points
- Compare every tied players best performing Match based on Kill Points
- Compare every tied players Kill Points in the most recent Match
- Compare every tied players Placement Points in the most recent Match
4.5. Re-host
A re-host can only be played with admin initiation. Disconnects and lag issues will only qualify for a re-host if the issue occurs within the first 60 seconds of the game and affects a significant amount of players, barring any unforeseen situations.
4.6. Observers
Observers are organized by ADWA Gaming admins and people that are given permission by an admin (e.g. shoutcasters or streamers).
4.7. Results
All results will be input by ADWA Gaming personnel. If anything is unclear, participants should have screenshots available to verify the result and file a protest.
5. Communication & Support
Please submit a support ticket for any assistance during the cup. For communications, we ask teams to use our Discord server.
5.1. Admins
All participants must adhere to the decisions and rules of the tournament organizers, admins, and referees. All decisions are final, except in cases where the option to appeal is clearly stated. Conversations, either verbal or written, between organizers, admins or referees, and participants are confidential. Publicly posting or sharing these conversations with outside parties is strictly forbidden, unless permission is obtained.
5.2. Match Media
All match media (screenshots, demos, etc) must be kept for at least 14 days. Faking or manipulating match media is forbidden and will result in severe penalties. Match media should be named clearly based on what it is. It is not possible to file a protest or write a support ticket to complain about bad match media naming. However, if an admin is hindered in their work because of bad match media names then it can be punished.
5.3. Casting and Streaming
Casting an ADWA Gaming match is only permitted with an ADWA Gaming admin agreement. Personal streaming is always allowed, for any other purposes to get an agreement please write a Support ticket.
5.4. Personal Streaming
Personal Streaming is always allowed if ADWA Gaming TV is not casting the same match. If ADWA Gaming TV is casting a match, personal streaming is not allowed without an admin agreement. Personal Streaming of a match shown by ADWA Gaming TV, without permission from an ADWA Gaming admin, can lead to a disqualification of the team or ban of the participant streaming content during the tournament. Any such streaming by ADWA Gaming TV will always be announced before match start.
6. Penalty Point Catalogue
In general, a player and the team can receive up to 6 penalty points per match, unless a single violation has a higher punishment. A team is only punished once per violation, regardless of how many players. Where a player or team receives penalty points for multiple violations, the penalty points are added together.

1In cup and league matches default wins are given instead of a match deletion and penalty points.
Matches get only deleted if the team/player violating the rules won the match.
7. Payment Policy
All winners will be emailed a Prize Payout Form from Adwa Gaming after the competition has concluded. Prize winners have 5 working days to provide Adwa Gaming with the requested information. Failure to fill out and submit the Prize Payout Form within the 5-working-day submission period will result in an automatic forfeiture of all winnings.
Prize money will be distributed within 5 working days after submission of the Prize Payout Form. Payment will be made using electronic money transfers (EFT), unless otherwise noted. As such, banking information will need to be provided in order to complete payments. All prize money will be paid out in South African Rands.
These rules are subject to change if necessary, the Techfest Expo and Adwa Gaming administrators reserve the right to make additional decisions outside the defined ruleset if necessary.
